ABOUT US

Illustration: Elisabet Ericson

Bildvärld/Gränsland is a forum founded by illustrator Marie Herzog and producer Magnus Borgkvist Johansson. Our ambition is to create a hub for illustrators, including picture-book artists, designers, comic artists, pattern designers and game designers.
The creative process is always at the heart of our events. We aim to create a meeting place where industry professionals can connect, collaborate and build new relationships. Our activities are aimed at professionals and beginners alike, as well as anyone curious about illustration.
Through inspiring talks, panel discussions and workshops, we want to create a platform for experimentation and artistic exploration.
Every autumn, our annual illustration festival returns. Here, we explore the art of illustration from every imaginable perspective. Our aim is to give audiences an insight into the journey from initial sketch to finished work. Over the course of a full day, visitors can find inspiration, meet like-minded people and learn new techniques.
We are based in Malmö.
This years festival is produced with support from Region Skåne and the City of Malmö, in collaboration with Illustratörcentrum, Svenska Tecknare, Moderna Museet Malmö, Malmö Konsthall and Inkonst.
