On large pieces of paper, we create collective drawings based on different words and themes. The picture grows organically and each artist's part is woven together with the others. The workshop is held by educator and artist Henrik Stenberg from Teckningsmuseet.
Teckningsmuseet i Laholm is a museum for all types of drawing art. Exhibitions with Swedish and international artists and illustrators are shown here, as well as works from our own collection. The museum's ambition is to elevate drawing as an art form and to be a forum for both new currents and historical retrospectives.

ARTIST TALK med Hayfaa Chalabi (in English)
Refugees Welcome? is an illustrative project that explores structural apathy towards refugees in Sweden. The project is a documentation and narration of Sweden's contemporary history and the nation's way of dealing with the so-called "global refugee crisis". In this work, illustration is a tool and a resistance against the restrictions of filming, recording, and photographing whatever happens inside the Migration Board’s offices in Sweden.
Hayfaa Chalabi uses her power as an illustrator and storyteller to raise awareness of various socio-political issues. Her work revolves around the misuse of power in our society and the intersections of visual culture, sexuality, gender, and migration. Currently, Chalabi works as a senior lecturer at the University of Arts in London (UAL).
